Description
The footprint FF filters are specially designed to be installed with the LSIS variators and meet EMC requirements. Their dimensions match the specific converter to be installed under it or laterally, as standard filters.
This range consists of single-phase and three-phase filters from 5A to 70A, and they are designed for easy assembly. The FF filters significantly reduce one of the most common problems, the leakage current, reducing it to values below 3.5mA in single-phase filters and below 27mA in three-phase filters.
How to reduce the disturbances generated by frequency converters?
Speed variators generate two main types of disturbances in the installation: harmonic distortion (originating from the rectifier bridge) and electrical noise (radiated or conducted, produced by the inverter bridge).
- Harmonic distortion: The INV inductances reduce the harmonics of current that the converter injects into the network and on the other hand limit the connection current of the inverter and protect it against overvoltage and micro-cuts in the network.
- Electrical noise: EMC/RFI input filters reduce conducted electrical noise. While shock ferrites and LC filters are responsible for reducing emissions between the inverter and the motor
